We go because Jesus has sent us. The gospel is too good to keep to ourselves, and the Great Commission compels us to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19–20, ESV). Missions is not an optional ministry of the church — it is the overflow of hearts transformed by Christ and obedient to His command.
Each mission partner is just that, a partner! We believe in cultivating an ongoing relationship with the people we go to serve every year. Some are new, some are old. Some domestic, some international.
Here you will find some helpful info: when we go, age group(s) going and typical length of the trip.
Level Grove partners with Chonkawashtay Ranch on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. This partnership focuses on both construction projects and wellness-focused ministry. Each year, two teams are sent—one to assist with construction and one to lead a summer kids camp. The partnership has been active for approximately four years and continues to grow in impact.
Our Honduras partnership is with Carlos and Esme Racinos in Tutule, where ministry efforts focus on meeting practical needs through agriculture and construction projects. Level Grove sends adult mission teams each January and student teams each June. These trips allow teams to serve the community while supporting long-term ministry efforts in the region. Plans are also underway to launch a new medical mission trip to further expand care and outreach.
Level Grove partners with Out Island Ministries, led by Joel Pinder, to serve communities in the Bahamas. This ministry focuses on Haitian refugee communities as well as Bahamian children who face unique challenges. Each June, Level Grove sends a team of 9th and 10th grade students to participate in a sports camp. The camp provides a relational way to share the gospel while meeting practical needs.
Our Miami partnership involves three church planters and has been active for the past four years. Through this partnership, Level Grove sends mission teams to support church planting efforts in an urban and culturally diverse context. Mission trips are organized throughout the year for both adults and middle school students. These trips focus on encouragement, service, and hands-on ministry alongside local church leaders.
Level Grove Baptist Church partners with Jeff Lawson, a church planter serving in Bluffton, South Carolina, which is recognized as the most unchurched city in the state. This partnership exists to support gospel work in a growing community with significant spiritual need. Each summer, Level Grove organizes a mission trip specifically for 5th grade students. This trip gives young students an early opportunity to experience missions and see how God is at work beyond their local church.
Level Grove partners with Graceworks in Alaska, primarily serving in Anchorage. This partnership currently involves college students who serve in summer programs focused on ministry to children. These programs provide gospel-centered activities and consistent relational engagement. There is also potential to expand this partnership in the future to include adult ministry opportunities.
Level Grove partners with Out Island Ministries in Mare Rouge, Haiti. For more than fifteen years, our church has supported this ministry through construction projects, church planting, clean water initiatives, and Christmas in Haiti—a church-wide effort that provides much-needed resources and gifts to children in the community.
Due to increased travel risks in recent years, our short-term mission trips to Haiti have become limited. Even so, Level Grove remains committed to this partnership by continuing to provide Christmas bags and other essential resources to support the ongoing ministry in Mare Rouge.
